O gwna fi'n ffyddlon yma o hyd, A'm lefel at dy glod; Ac na fo pleser fyn'd a mryd, A welwyd is y rhod. N'ad fi foddloni ar rhyw rith O grefydd heb ei grym: Ond gwir adnabod Iesu Grist Yn fywyd anwyl im'. Plant ydym eto dan ein hoed, Yn dysgwyl am y 'stâd; Mae'r etifeddiaeth ini'n dod, Wrth Destament ein Tad. I will trust in his Word, Despite how great is my fault; And the day and the hour are determined, When I shall get my true setting free. Oh, make me faithful here always, And my aim at thy praise; And let no pleasure take my attention, Which is seen below the sky. Do not let me be enjoy any kind of thing From belief without its force: But truly to know Jesus Christ As a dear life to me. Children are we still under age, Waiting for the estate; The inheritance to us is coming, According to the Testament of our Father. I will trust in his word Despite how great is my fault, Decided have been the day and hour For me to get my total freeing. Ascend he has to the vault of heaven To intercede for the weak, My own soul he shall draw To his breast soon. He is sitting on the right hand of the Father, On the great throne of heaven; And the whole of what is in being is Under His authority. He left the linen cloths behind, As a full sign to us, That there is no need of clothing of any kind In the paradise above. His sure covenant shall stand Firm in its force, When every comfort under heaven Has disappeared to nothing. Oh, make us faithful here always, And our aim at thy praise; And may no pleasure take away our attention, That is seen under the sky. May public praise come to be in our mouths, And in our spirit fire; And in the perils of a desert land, Pure petition and song.tr. 2014 Richard B Gillion |
